We both grew up with divorce and its fallout and began to engage personally with the Bible as young adults. As we approached marriage, we wondered how God could use our union to heal our families.   Since being married, we have gravitated to opportunities to serve together. This has taken many forms in Atlanta, Salt Lake City, and Houston including leading Bible studies and engaging in evangelism, youth, college ministry and serving our neighbors through Apartment Life, in addition to our jobs in biomedical research and science teaching.

When we attended FamilyLife's annual Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaway, we were challenged to serve full-time with FamilyLife. The call resonated with our compassion for our own hurting families. We were reminded of the promise in Isaiah 61:4 that those empowered by the Spirit of the Lord would repair "the devastations of many generations". We are responding to that promise for our family (which includes our long-awaited son Chiaruka) and families around the world. 

Cru is a worldwide organization committed to making an eternal difference in people’s lives. The ministry’s objective is to give each person in the world the opportunity to say “yes” to Jesus. We have been assigned to the FamilyLife ministry in Orlando, FL. FamilyLife is a global ministry that seeks to make every home a godly home. Our vision is to see families move from isolation to oneness and from oneness to impact, mobilized to reach the families around them with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our hope is that our marriage and our full-time service together would be used to build up families to know, love and live for Christ. Please prayerfully consider joining our support team.
