Why Philly?

Philadelphia is one of the most strategic places to minister to college students in the United States. It's the 5th largest city with college students next to NYC, LA, Chicago and Boston. 30 colleges and universities with a total of ~120,000 students. Philadelphia boasts it's world class education in medicine, business, research and more. Impacting the leaders of tomorrow. Students come from all over the U.S. and even the globe. Philadelphia universities are known for their ethnically and culturally diverse demographics. Opportunities to reach the world for Christ lie right here in Philadelphia!

Why Cru?

My own life is a testament to the power of college ministry. I was raised in church but my faith in Christ didn't become my own until I was discipled and trained to share my faith with others. When life got difficult early in college, God used those challenges to teach me true dependence on Him. Through Cru, He then grew my heart for the Great Commission, gave me a passion for sharing the Gospel and to build up students in Christ through discipleship. Not only has Cru impacted me personally but also what we commit to in our mission. We win students to faith in Christ, build them in their faith and send them out to reach others. All empowered by the Holy Spirit through the Gospel.

My prayer is when students graduate, they can be confident in the hope they have in Christ and to be a fruitful, Spirit-filled believer wherever God sends them. By God’s provision, I’m continuing ministry with Cru in Philadelphia, reaching college students with the Gospel and seeing lives transformed by Jesus.
