Hello!

My name is Brei Panares and I want to go where the Gospel isn't. 

Thank you for your consideration for partnering with me in bringing the Gospel to Osaka, Japan. Japan has a history of Buddhist and Shinto beliefs. National statistics says that only 1% of people in Japan are followers of Christ. Religion in Japan is more of a comfort than a personal relationship. The people of Japan often go to temples to pray/cleanse themselves or buy charms for anxiety inducing times. While it is a mainly Buddhist/Shintoism country, beliefs are often a melting pot of different cultures. It's common for a marriage to take place under a Christian church, but have a funeral under Buddhist beliefs. Along with that, their connection with nature often leads to the belief of many gods. 

JCCC's (Japan Cru) goal is to change that 1% of believers to 2% in the next 10 years. Our hope is that we would talk to college students, develop a relationship with them, and talk to them about the One true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We will hold weekly meetings, bible studies, and other events to give students time and space to help process and hold conversations with other brothers and sisters in Christ! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in Osaka!
