The ministry of Cru has helped an enormous number of college students grow in their walks with God all across the country. I know because I'm one of them. I arrived on campus with a rudimentary knowledge of Jesus and the Gospel but I knew there was so still much that I didn't understand. I first discovered Cru through some chalk students had written on our Diag and quickly started weekly attending Bible studies. Throughout my four years on campus God's word became deeply rooted in my heart and I developed a deep, personal relationship with Him.

After graduation God placed on my heart a desire to serve Him by interning with Cru at my alma mater. Over those two years I had the blessing of seeing students surrender their lives to Christ and start walking with Him in close fellowship. The Holy Spirit also continued to minister to me and I grew in my skills of evangelism and my heart for the lost.

Now, as a full time staff member with Cru my goal is to continue to pour into the lives of students and build them up into faithful followers of Christ who will be able to teach others also. It is my goal that every student would have the opportunity to hear and respond in faith to the hope that is found in the Gospel. But as Paul writes in Romans 10, "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?"

I am honored to continue to serve with Cru at the University of Michigan in order to see that happen. However, I cannot do this alone. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and concerned individuals such as yourself we can reach the over 50,000 students who attend U of M every year. I believe the campus embodies Matthew 9 where Jesus said, "the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (v 37) and I therefore ask you to "pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (v 38).
