Greetings from the Volkov family!
We are Dmytro and Tanya Volkov, married for 15 years. Both of us became Christians through campus ministries in college, later building a friendship and falling in love while serving on a missionary team in Ukraine. God has blessed us with three children: Veniamin (2014), Emma (2016), and Reuben (2018).
Since 2004 (Tanya) and 2009 (Dmytro), we have been serving full-time with CRU in Ukraine, working with students to build movements of evangelism, discipleship, and prayer. We started in Donetsk, moved to Kyiv due to the war in Eastern Ukraine, and later to Lviv, where Dmytro led the local missionary team for six years.
Since the full-scale war began on February 24, 2022, the need for the Good News has only grown as people seek hope and meaning. Students need Jesus, and we remain committed to campus ministry as a response to this need.
There’re so many things to be grateful for as we come to the middle of 2026. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support of our ministry, it truly helps us share God’s love with so many students in Ukraine. We are blessed to have you by our side! And we always look forward to hearing from you 👐🏻
By God's grace, English Club and weekly events this semester helped us to reach numerous students, most of whom have never heard the gospel. We’re also inspired by the incredible dedication of our volunteers, who serve others despite their studies, part-time jobs and other commitments.
129 people heard the Good News in personal conversations this year
21 volunteers are involved in fulfilling the Great Commission
75 new students took part in our English Club
About a year ago, we shared a dream of starting a paintball outreach to connect with male students—and it’s finally becoming reality! Although we bought the equipment in January 2025, health challenges and a busy season delayed things. But the good news is: we’ve already run one game for new students and another for our volunteers. It feels like both a milestone and a great opportunity ahead.
Sharing that, we ask you to pray for further God’s guidance in this area as well as for the fruit to be brought through all we do for the students.
Prayer support: Keep praying for Ukraine with us: for the lives and souls of Ukrainians to be saved; for peace and victory for our country and people. From our side, we’ll do bi-weekly updates to inform you about students stories, the events in the ministry and prayer requests.
Financial support: Join with us by making a monthly or one-time financial commitment to our ministry. To continue our ministry this year, we need $3000/mo. All contributions are tax deductible.
