My call to full-time ministry came from Acts 17:26-27 “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.“
I (Melody) have the joy of serving with Cru City as a neighboring specialist with NBS2GO (Neighbor Bible Studies 2GO) and am the only Cru City staff member in the greater Tampa, Florida area. I am thankful for being able to serve in various capacities over the past ten years.
If I could do only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be to love others. I think I have the best job in the world getting to do just that: love the neighbors whom God has strategically placed around me in my spheres of influence and exponentially enable others to do so in theirs.
As a Neighboring Specialist, I love creating new things that bring beauty and further God’s kingdom on earth and pull from my teaching experiences, overseas travels, and almost two decades of cross-cultural relationship building.
As a grateful wife and proud mom, I believe prioritization holds the key to being a good neighbor. As I absorb God’s love and its benefits holistically, it cascades out into the lives of others.
“When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.” 1 Corinthians 9:22-23
