Greetings from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico!
Hello my name is Keila, I was formerly a student in the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus. I was a psychology mayor and track athlete fascinated with brain science. I was recruited to work for AIA Puerto Rico in the summer of 2016. Without knowing what exactly I was going to do or the impact I could have but just feeling a burning passion within me that pushed me to say yes. Today, I am the national director for Athletes in Action Puerto Rico. Jesus was very clear in his command of making disciples throughout every nation. Our goal is to fulfill the great commission in and through sport in Puerto Rico and help other Latin American countries fulfill the great commission. It is a task that I can not do alone, but we have designed a plan that within a few years we can have a tremendous impact on our island. I am now overseeing and working in developing 4 branches of AIA in Puerto Rico; these are: campus, chaplaincy, a summer camp called Extreme Challenge, and Church Sport. Hola mi nombre es Keila, anteriormente fui estudiante en la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Mayagüez. Yo era estudiante de psicología y atleta de pista fascinada con la ciencia del cerebro. Fui reclutada para trabajar para Atletas en Acción Puerto Rico en el verano de 2016. Sin saber exactamente qué iba a hacer o el impacto que podría tener pero simplemente sintiendo una pasión ardiente dentro de mí que me empujó a decir que sí. Hoy soy la directora nacional de Atletas en Acción Puerto Rico. Jesús fue muy claro en su mandato de hacer discípulos en todas las naciones. Nuestro objetivo es cumplir la gran comisión en y a través del deporte en Puerto Rico y ayudar a otros países latinoamericanos a cumplir la gran comisión. Es una tarea que no puedo hacer sola, pero hemos diseñado un plan que dentro de unos años podrá tener un impacto significativo en nuestra isla. Ahora estoy supervisando y trabajando en desarrollar 4 estratégias de AEA Puerto Rico; estas son: campus, capellanía, un campamento de verano llamado Reto Extremo e Iglesia Deporte. Su contribución puede tener un impacto significativo en la vida de muchas personas e impactar a esta y a las generaciones venideras. Gracias por estar junto a mi en esta misión.
