The scene:
Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins is a college town (Colorado State University) that is a jumping off point to many outdoor activities. It will also host the Cru National Staff Conference and related training events in June and July.

The objective:
Foot of the Rockies will grow students in their faith as they live in Christian community and engage in discipleship, ministry training, study of the Bible, and outreach.

While on Foot of the Rockies, they will choose between 2 unique opportunities based on their skills/majors/gifting:


1. Cru Camp Counselor: Student will work with Cru staff kids taking part in a summer camp (the nation's largest certified childcare operation) while their parents are taking classes and attending the Cru National Staff Conference. They will have the opportunity to minister to children aged 6 weeks through 6th grade, taking part in their growth and spiritual development first-hand.

2. Junior High/Senior Counselor: Work with Junior High and Senior High Cru staff kids in a summer program that you will help build and implement. You will be part of a team that is seeking to draw middle school and high school students deeper in their relationship with the Lord through purposely crazy fun activities, gospel centered worship and teaching, and building authentic community. This is a paid position.

3. Cru Operations Intern: Those with skills in graphic design, video production, event planning, or web development will be working alongside other Cru staff and students who share the same skills to build ministry capacity and/or more effectively reach others with the gospel. (Some interns, skill/interest dependent, will get to work on aspects of the 2017 Cru National Staff Conference - high need for video production majors/skills). Foot of the Rockies can satisfy internship requirements for some majors.

We cannot wait to see the ways God chooses to use this summer in transforming the lives of students while simultaneously helping fulfill the Great Commission.
