Cru17 Water Walk Challenge

#0957381

Provide safe, filtered water for thirsty families.

Did you know dirty and disease-infested water is the number one cause of death around the world? Each year diseases from contaminated water kill more children than AIDs, malaria, and measles combined!

This summer at Cru17, the U.S. Staff Conference in Ft. Collins, CO, Cru High School will join with Global Aid Network® (GAiN®) to take on a special project: The Water Walk Challenge. Nearly 600 middle and high school students will take part in this three-mile walk while carrying a day’s worth of water. This event will simulate the daily routine of children in countries where water is scarce.

Through The Water Walk Challenge, students will raise awareness of the need for clean water. They also will raise funds to supply clean water filters for families living in some of the toughest places on earth.

You also can provide water for thirsty families through a gift of $18! Your gift will supply one water filter for a family of four and open an opportunity for our in-country staff members to show the kindness of Jesus and to share the hope of the “living water” He gives.

With your help, entire communities once ravaged by disease can flourish again. You have the opportunity to help make an immediate and eternal difference in the lives of these suffering families.
