My name is Tonya, and I am the wife of a Marine.
At our first duty station, I was searching for a church home. During that search, God also led me to Cru Military (formerly Military Ministry). I quickly became involved as a volunteer in ministering to troops and had the privilege to work with believers, non-believers, and those who simply wanted a place to get away on Sunday mornings. I was given the opportunity to witness powerful life changes as hundreds of men and women accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.
Not only did I experience the light and hope that this ministry brought to others, but I too was saved by the strength and work of this ministry. I have been able to call upon the people of this ministry during the most difficult times in my marriage and my life.
Cru Military has been a Godsend for me and my family. We, like many military families, deal with separation, deployments, post-traumatic stress, and other unique challenges. But thankfully we have the support of our extended Christian family in Cru Military.
I ask you to join me in supporting the life-affirming ministry of Cru Military. Our goal is to raise $720,000 by December 31, 2013. Working together, we can bring the transforming power of the Gospel to our military, veterans, and their families.
