Dear Friend,

May I share with you wonderful reports, the fruit of your partnership with the film, JESUS?

• They fell to their knees, young and old…weeping through tears of repentance and joy.

Sixty people had just experienced JESUS in an isolated village, high in the mountains of Bolivia. The team who had brought them JESUS was quite amazed.*

Earlier that day, they had shown “The Story of Jesus for Children” in a village school. The team asked the children to invite their parents to come to a showing in the evening, so they could watch the more complete presentation of the gospel, through JESUS.

But would the children follow through?

To be sure word got out, the team began searching for houses in the rugged area. After five hours of difficult trekking, they found only seven homes! So their expectations were quite low.

Imagine their surprise when 60 people arrived and sat down before the screen, on both sides of the video projector. As usually happens, the people were captured by the wonder of the gospel story and the Word of God. Never before had they heard such things, and it was in their language. After JESUS concluded, one of the missionaries explained the gospel once more, to assure that the people understood the great atonement of the Son of God.

When the missionary gave the invitation, 40 people (of the 60 who attended) began crying, coming forward and falling to their knees. As they wept, repented and prayed, the team kept hearing the people say:

“Why hasn’t anyone come and told us this before?”

That’s why I so appreciate you. You are telling them! Your prayers of intercession and your generous heart send the film showing equipment and DVDs. You help translate the film and support the teams. For every person who watches and hears, the wait is over. Thank you!

• In a nation of Africa, a film team took showing equipment and DVDs of JESUS to a very difficult area. It was Friday night, when the people are usually in their “house of prayer,” fulfilling their obligation.

But on this night the house was empty. Instead, they all went to see JESUS! Even the religious leader of the house of prayer was there. About 400 people gave their lives to Christ!

• Also in Africa, a student came to Christ when he watched JESUS. He was discipled, trained and given what he needed to show the film. Eventually he became director of a very large chemical manufacturing plant located in an extremely dangerous country, one where few have heard the gospel—where Christians are routinely persecuted or killed. Yet with his authority as “boss,” he began inviting all his workers to watch "JESUS". There is now a church at the plant, and he has given about 500 DVDs of "JESUS" to workers’ families.

• This next report is from JESUS Film Harvest Partners of Church of the Nazarene, who use tools mostly provided in partnership with The JESUS Film Project. They passed on this testimony from a man who watched JESUS:

“The living God took care of me. I worshipped one of our goddesses. A few months ago, I began to have {seizures}. I would fall to the ground. We made vows to the goddess but there was no change. I saw the JESUS film and came to know about the Savior. The miracles of Jesus were a new thing for me. While watching the film, I said a prayer in my mind to the Lord Jesus to heal me—and He touched me! After the film, prayers were offered for me. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.”

May God alone receive the glory for all I have shared!

It’s been 2,000 years since our Lord issued the greatest call to action in history. There has been substantial progress, especially over the past several years. But there are still millions of people who have never heard once, who have been largely inaccessible to the gospel because of terrain, culture, or hostility. But no more.

We can reach them now, even in some of the most difficult and inaccessible places on earth. This is why I ask you to consider how you might accelerate and enable the work of hundreds of film teams and partners, by supplying them with innovative, much-needed showing equipment, so people no longer need to ask: “Why hasn’t anyone come and told us this before?”

To bring them the news, film teams, partner ministries, and entire associations of churches are asking for equipment. Here are a few items most often requested:

Digital Video Projectors (DVP). DVPs are perfect for showings to audiences of up to 300. They are bright, reliable and easily transported. The gift amount is $1,920. That could be beyond the ability of a number of us. But you can still help and provide a portion of one projector through a gift of $250 or $500.

Pocket Projectors/Mini-Packs. You cannot believe the response of teams in closed and restricted nations when they get their hands on these innovative projection systems! Everything fits into a small carry bag. With this tiny kit, a team can show JESUS, Magdalena, or The Story of Jesus for Children in homes, attended by up to 100 people. A gift of $1,100 will provide a team a projector pack. Or, your gift of $275, combined with three others, can help provide a complete pack for a national evangelist.

"Give Them Life” Backpacks. This is a compact, large-audience system. Nearly everything they need is carried in a backpack. A single worker can don the pack, board a motorbike, ride through rough, remote terrain for hours and then show JESUS to crowds of up to 1,000 people who have never been reached. One full backpack, including solar panels and battery can be supplied with a gift of $5,380.

“Messenger of Hope” MP4 Players. These are especially in demand in dangerous countries. Resembling a cell phone, hand-held MP4 Players allow a person (or a few) with ear buds, to watch privately and safely. These too can be pre-loaded with several films, such as Magdalena to reach oppressed women. You can provide an MP4 Player through a gift of $170.

Video Tablets. Readily accepted in most places, video tablets can present JESUS to an individual or a small family or group in virtually any setting. Completely solid state, they are also pre-loaded with all the films a team or single worker needs. You can supply a video tablet for $440, a tool sure to be used many times to reach, disciple and equip men, women and children.

If a gift for a full set of equipment is beyond your reach this month, you can still make a difference. Every gift is important. It’s your heart that matters. You can join through a gift of $100, $250 or $500, or just by praying. Again, please review the enclosed information sheet, and kindly make these opportunities a matter of prayer.
