Freshman Survival Kits (FSK)

#2731146

From the first day college freshmen step onto campus, they are bombarded with messages. Fliers advertise beer parties. Posters announce atheist club meetings. Invitations to "Explore Your Sexuality." Even some professors join in the chorus, discussing the need for tolerance and the arrogance of believing that any one religion or lifestyle could be true or morally right.

You can help ensure that these young people hear God's Truth-- before they buy into empty, destructive ideals. You can help put Freshman Survival Kits into their hands.

Freshman Survival Kits have also proven to be one of the most effective ways to establish new ministries to reach college students for Christ. The kits are most often distributed at the beginning of the semester, when students are making decisions about their lifestyle and figuring out where they fit in.

Kits are customizable for each campus, with local leaders selecting items that will appeal to their campus culture or even specific ethnic and affinity groups. Contents may include a Christian music CD, a book like More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell, cards directing them to an evangelistic Web site, an invitation to Cru meetings on campus, a Bible that includes a "Four Spiritual Laws" gospel explanation, and more.

With 4-5 items included, Kits costs around $10.37 each. Students often share the contents with friends, meaning one kit could reach four or five students with the powerful truth of God's love and forgiveness. Your gift could help make sure that the Bible is the first textbook these freshmen receive.
