Christianity in China is growing in an amazing way—from 2.7 million believers in the 1980s, when Josh McDowell Ministry first began serving in the country, to over 100 million today. Reports indicate that in some regions there is only one trained leader for every 7,000 believers. In remote areas there may only be one leader for every 40,000 believers. Pastors and Christian leaders plead for resources to address these growing needs.
That’s why we need your help right now.
By God’s grace, the Chinese government has asked Josh McDowell Ministry to join in a unique partnership to provide libraries of six of Josh’s books to seminary students, like More Than a Carpenter and Evidence That Demands a Verdict. What an amazing opportunity!
To meet the need for this year’s request, we are praying for $94,300 by May 5. Just $41 provides one library set. How many can you send today?
Seminary students who attend Chinese state seminaries and Bible schools often lack the funds to purchase books written by sound, biblically-based authors. To meet this need, Josh McDowell Ministry plans to provide every graduating student at 28 seminaries with a six-set student library. These books written by Josh will be only printed resources the 2,300 graduates will have as they assume their new church positions. The Chinese collection of seminary books is valued at $41 per student.
Funding Needs: We would like you to prayerfully consider sponsoring these seminary students—many of whom will go on to serve in churches with a congregation size of 1,000 to 15,000. Through these men and women, as many as 1 million people in China will hear about Jesus!
