John and Joanne Austin have been involved in a number of exciting ministries with Campus Crusade for Christ, for over 46 years. They recently relocated from New York City, where John was Executive Director of Christian Embassy-United Nations. (Christian Embassy UN)
 

John currently serves on the Vice President's team of Global Church Movements (GCM) (www.globalchurchmovements.org), directed by Dr. Bekele Shanko. GCM works with more than 150 like-minded church leaders and mission agencies around the world, through the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication (GACX). Dr. Bekele Shanko leads this partnership, helping to establish multiplying churches and sustainable faith communities in every village, metro area, urban high-rise and digital community - so that everyone can know someone who truly follows Jesus.

Special note:  John and Joanne will go on Emeritus status with Cru by May, 2016. They will continue to relate to Cru through the Global Church Movements, but focus their efforts mainly on their own local community.

John and Joanne have 2 married children and 7 grandchildren. Both families serve in West Africa as missionaries and ambassadors for Christ.
