The above shows Kitty and me in front of the Capitol building.  In light of the upcoming November 3rd, 2026, election, there will be a lot of new Members of Congress showing up in January, 2027.  Although our direct ministry is with members of the Diplomatic Corps, we do get to go on the Hill when the new Congress assembles to be sworn in.  We try to visit each new Member to meet them, welcome them to Washington, and to invite them to prayer and Bible study groups that help them to maintain their focus on the Lord Jesus as well as on their responsibilities.  The recent government shutdowns have brought a lot of changes to the way things get done as well as to the ways in which we can still do ministry.  Our purpose has not changed; we are still committed to winning leaders to the Lord Jesus, helping them grow in their faith, and then challenging them to become part of the team that the Holy Spirit is putting together to live out and share the gospel.  My farm background constantly reminds me of the fact that without sowing there is no reaping!
