"Reclaiming our universities for Jesus Christ, one professor at a time..."

...The above phrase describes the mission of Dave and Janet DeHuff with Faculty Commons, the faculty ministry of CCC. Dave directs the faculty outreach in Philadelphia and at other regional schools. His main efforts are currently at:

  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Virginia Tech
  • James Madison University

"Professors and scientists need Jesus Christ." Our first objective is to reach professors with the gospel and equip faculty to share their faith. Professors are the gate-keepers of our universities.

"Ideas have consequences." Our second objective is to help these Christian professors bring a Biblical world-view back to the market place of ideas. Uniting these two objectives, we sow good seed (the gospel) with academics, as we cultivate good soil (the Christian worldview) in higher education (Matt. 13:1-23).

Dave met Christ at Virginia Tech where he received my B.S. in Biology. Upon graduation in 1971, he joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ, leading college students for the next ten years. Janet graduated from Hartwick College in Sociology and has ministered to women since 1970, including our three grown daughters. Dave received an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and focuses his gifts on reaching and mentoring academics in the permanent academic community.
