Craig Harriman came to know Jesus Christ as his personal savior during high school and was involved in the Cru ministry as a student and athlete at the University of California, Davis and the University of Nevada, Reno. He joined the staff of Cru in 1973 and has been a full-time and volunteer staff member with the Athletes In Action ministry for over 45 years.
Craig launched the Athletes In Action Swimming ministry in 1979 and has given leadership to it since then — a natural fit since he swam and played water polo in high school, played water polo at UC Davis, and has coached high school and club swimming for over 20 years.
His current ministry is to swimmers, divers, water polo players and coaches on high school and college campuses, sharing Christ with coaches and athletes through chapel services at national competitions, and conducting sports outreaches internationally at venues such as the Olympic Games.
The Great Commission to "make disciples" of Jesus Christ is the WHY behind what God has called Craig to do as a staff member of Cru and Athletes In Action. Craig shares, "My heart, my passion, my desire is to introduce others to Jesus Christ, ground them in their faith, help them mature into fruitful believers and reproduce themselves by making more disciples (II Timothy 2:2)."
Craig has been married to his wife Barbie since 2008 and they have a total of five children, thirteen grandchildren, and one Mini Australian Shepherd ("Daisy Cowgirl")! They currently reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Your financial and prayer partnership with Craig is strategic, precious, and deeply appreciated! Thank you very much!
