Gordon & Marcy Klenck

Gordon & Marcy Klenck are among the early staff members who joined Campus Crusade for Christ in the 50s. In fact Gordon was the very first staff member that Bill & Vonette Bright recruited to Campus Crusade for Christ. He has been on staff 61 years and his wife, Marcy, 54 years. After working 10 years starting & directing the ministry in several U. S. university campuses (U. C. Berkeley, USC & Univ. of Washington) Gordon served as Dr. Bright's personal assistant. Marcy served as the staff woman at USC for 5 years then later at Univ. of Washington.  After Gordon & Marcy married in 1964, Dr. Bright asked them to coordinate the new developing lay ministry. In 1966 Dr. Bright then asked the Klencks to launch and direct the ministry in Europe. After 11 years of developing & overseeing the growth of the ministry and staff in 14 western European countries with 300 staff, they returned to the U. S. where Gordon earned his Ph. D. in Intercultural Studies in the School of World Mission at Fuller Theological Seminary. Gordon taught at the International School of Theology in California for 19 years. In 2002 Gordon and Marcy joined the International School of Leadership where they now serve with Campus Crusade. Their special passion is evangelism and developing multiplying servant leaders for Christ's kingdom and one-on-one mentoring of these leaders. Gordon has traveled and taught leadership development in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. The Klencks now live in Virginia and have 3 grown children & 6 grandchildren.
