Bob McPherson Jr

I’m Bob McPherson. I live in Birmingham, Alabama. I’ve been involved with Prison Ministry for more than 30 years. I minister at a maximum security prison, in which there are 50% of the inmate who have been sentenced to “Life: without parole”. At the prison, I’m currently ministering in a place called the Faith-Based Honor Dorm where most of the incarcerated men living there profess to be Christians and govern themselves. The unique part about this is there is hardly any violence in this area of the prison because of how Jesus Christ has changed their lives! These are really hard men who have done some horrible things but the Lord changed them. He changed their lives and now they’re walking with Him. My role is to encourage them to be all that God wants them to be and to help them minister to each other so that they bloom where they’re planted.

I meet with the men every week, teach a Bible Study and share my personal experience to help them grow in the their relationship with Christ! To have a prison sentence of “Life: without parole” means a person has done some pretty bad things but to see that God has radically changed their lives and that no one is beyond His reach is what excites me most!

I have ministry partners who help me financially as I minister and if you’d be interested in joining me that way, please click the give button on this page. Thank you for prayerfully considering joining my team.
