Our mission in Inner City Orlando is to serve and mobilize the churches of Central Florida to live out God's heart for the poor so all can grow in Christ to build spiritual movements everywhere.

Since starting the Inner City ministry in Orlando in 2000, we have helped pastors take the gospel to the poor with compassionate evangelism, connected suburban Christians with urban ministries, trained churches in after-school programs, hosted short-term mission groups, and helped establish a homeless service center along with five churches.

Karen leads the local team, working with several ministries to take the gospel to the poor throughout Central Florida. Chris is the webmaster for all of Cru’s Inner City ministry (15 sites) as part of the national Inner City team (cru.org/innercity).

We have been with Cru since 1978. We are the parents of four children and three grandchildren. In the photo above, Jared and his wife, Kara, are in the back row on the left. (Their son, Findlay, was born after this photo.) Nathan and Kevin are in the back on the right. Next to Karen and me are Stephanie, who is holding Rivers, and her husband, Jimmy. Their daughter, Harper, is striking a pose in the front!
