Hi! We're Bruce and Kathy McClenahan. For the past 40+ years, we have served with Cru in various countries, and in a variety of roles. Since 2007 to present, we have been ministering from Orlando through the JESUS Film Project.
You who know us know we love cross-cultural ministry, discipleship, and leadership development. As singles, we individually left the US to serve in Eastern Africa, where we first met and fell in love. After marrying, we moved to Southern Africa, and then later to France. In all, we spent 21 years in a variety of overseas ministries.
What is it we do now? In 2015, Kathy took her overseas missionary experience and added to it by completing her Masters in Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary. Now as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Cru spouse affiliate, she ministers to missionary staff and lay people through Charis Counseling Center (https://www.chariscounselingcenter.com/). Kathy also offers special training to groups of people interested in experiencing growth as a team and what it means to live wholeheartedly as God intends. More recently she helps counsel those who have experienced betrayal. We trust God to use her to be a conduit God uses to bring hope, healing, and wholeness to those who she sees.
Bruce began leading the Europe Global Expansion Team (Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, Israel, Armenia) in March 2021, after holding various leadership positions within the Jesus Film Project. Bruce's team focuses on resourcing the ministries of our national field staff as well as key partners working in the region. His team seeks to reach the least-reached people groups throughout the expansive geography they serve.
