VISION
During Eric's freshman year of college, a Cru staff member named Jim shared with him how he could know God personally. Eric responded by placing his trust in Christ. Right away Jim began meeting with Eric regularly to help him learn the basics of the faith. Susan heard the Gospel her senior year at a meeting sponsored by Cru through her sorority. When a staff member came and shared Christ with her, she trusted in Christ and quickly got into a Bible study. Both Eric & Susan continued to grow in their faith, were trained to communicate their faith with others, and eventually joined the staff of Cru. Their own stories reflect the mission of Cru: building spiritual movements everywhere so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
BACKGROUND
Eric & Susan have been on staff with Cru for 40 years. They have been married for 36 years and they have 4 sons and 2 grandchildren. Eric received his Master of Divinity degree from the International School of Theology in 1992. Susan received a Masters degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Azusa Pacific University in 1991.
ROLES
Eric serves as Team Leader for Central Florida Cru. In this role he leads a team of 15 staff and interns to help reach more than 250,000 college students and faculty at UCF and other campuses in Central Florida. Susan serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Campus Ministry Innovation Team at Cru Headquarters in Orlando.
