Starting in September of 2021, both of us are full-time staff with Athletes in Action! While Claire has been serving with AIA for many years as a full-time staff member, Scott has been a pastor for the past 15 years. He is now back, using his seminary education, experience, talents and gifts to serve with AIA. For both of us, the focus of our ministry with AIA is on leadership development. We are helping to insure that the hundreds of AIA staff here in the US and around the world are growing and developing as the most effective ministers of the Gospel they can be. A crucial aspect of our ministry involves helping our staff grow in Christ, developing them spiritually & emotionally, and equipping them to be Spirit-led leaders who carry out their ministry. The harvest is truly plentiful and, as such, ministry opportunities abound. Whether it is in Spain or at Ohio State, with the Denver Broncos or a national team in Nigeria or Switzerland, athletes and coaches are looking for the real meaning of life and have unparalleled potential to influence millions for Christ. The challenge is to allocate and develop solid, mature, faithful staff with deepening character to help launch spiritual movements everywhere. We must have leaders who are equipped, healthy, effective, and trusting God for spiritual movements. Our role is to help make sure these leaders are being developed in the best possible ways.
