We are on staff in Eugene, Oregon home of University of Oregon and Lane Community College.
Jake grew up in Couer d'Alene Idaho and attended the University of Idaho where he graduated with a degree in Secondary Education. He came to know the Lord as a freshman in college through a God-loving roommate and a Cru staff member. Full-time ministry was never something he dreamed of doing, until he helped lead a summer mission to East Asia in 2015. It was there that God really gave Jake a heart for college students around the world and in the United States. After working in public schools for two years in North Idaho, God called him to be full-time staff with Cru to reach college students for Christ.
Sarah is from Seattle, Washington and also attended the University of Idaho, graduating with a degree in Business Marketing. Growing up in a Christian household, Sarah knew a lot about God, but it was during a Cru summer mission 2010 that God demonstrated his grace and love in a way she had never experienced before. This trip also planted a desire in her to do ministry that would continue even after graduating college. She interned with Cru for two years at the University of Idaho where she loved watching God work in the hearts of students. After marrying Jake she got a job as college career advisor in Sandpoint, Idaho and worked there for two years. She was thrilled when Jake expressed his desire to join full time ministry because she has never lost the desire to reach college students.
We love watching students come to know the Lord and love helping them grow into disciple-making disciples, both in their time in college and for the many, many years after. Thank you for your partnership and investment in God's kingdom!
