Jay and Laura Lorenzen

Jay and Laurie have served with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) for over 35 years. After almost 25 with the Military Ministry, they are currently working in the US Campus Ministry to help integrate a passionate proclamation of the gospel with the compassionate demonstration of the gospel. This Gospel in Action initiative is helping open doors around the world for the gospel.
Believing in the vision of "the whole campus to the whole world," Jay and Laurie have also worked recently to build multiplying disciples and Kingdom movements within Cru's faculty ministry, Faculty Commons.
Their leadership conference, The High Ground at Gettysburg, uses the Battle of Gettysburg to develop and equip emerging church and parachurch leaders to lead well. See thehighgroundatgettysburg.org. Over the last 25 years, they have helped develop over 1600 leaders at Gettysburg.
They have been on full-time staff for 24 years, having started the Campus Crusade ministry at the Air Force Academy before joining the Military Ministry of CCC. Prior to joining full-time staff, Jay and Laurie spent 20 years in the Air Force as "associate Cru staff" on active duty. For 12 years, Jay taught political science at the Air Force Academy. During that time, they developed a commitment to "reaching and discipling the nations."
They have been married for 45 years. All of their four children are married. Fourteen grandkids barter for their time.
