We have had the privilege of serving together with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) for 40 years. We currently live in Colorado Springs, Colorado and serve with the City ministry of Cru, and are focused on reaching refugees and immigrants.  This is an exciting new ministry  one we feel we are uniquely suited for in light of understanding and personally experiencing what it is like to be living in a place that is not one's birth country.  As we think about refugees and immigrants it is clear that the world has literally come to us. It is exciting to get to know newcomers from Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Iraq and Syria, places most of us would find challenging to travel to and yet they now live just down the street!  Because we also lived overseas we can relate to the challenges of learning a new language, finding your way in a new place and understanding a new culture.   

Recently I (Donna) have accepted an new role, National Leader for Immigrants, Internationals and Refugees (IIR).  I am now responsible not only for local ministry with refugees, but lead the rest of the 28 staff located in 14 cities across the USA.  I am excited to see how God will grow this ministry as we reach out to internationals in our community and equip others to do the same. Would you pray that God will expand our reach to many more cities in the coming months? 

Our four children and their families are busy with work,  transitions, and adventures. All of our children and their families now live in Colorado! We love being closer to them as well as our grandchildren. It is especially a privilege to have the opportunity to invest in the lives of our grandchildren in new ways now that we are closer to each other.
