Tammy and I love ministering in the Greater Milwaukee area. Our motto is reaching the lost today AND developing the leaders of tomorrow. Our inner city work in Milwaukee is vital since Milwaukee is still listed as one of the poorest and most segregated cities in the USA. Steve also works with the Impact Movement (which is a contextualized collegiate ministry to African American students) and teaches Bible classes to our new and younger Cru staff. Tammy added helping run/organize National Conferences to her main list of duties. God, in His grace, uses our gifts and talents in helping to reach this world for Christ.
We started this race back when we were college students. While sophomores at UW-Oshkosh, Tammy and I both found the Lord. (Or rather, He found us.) With our sincere coming to faith, God placed in us a great calling to help fulfill the Great Commission found in Matt 28:18-20. God called us to work in our fields of study for 2 years, and then called us to serve with Campus Crusade for Christ. We have been on staff with CCC since 1987. When we moved to Milwaukee in 1998, there were no Campus Crusade for Christ student ministries on any of the campuses nor in all of South Eastern Wisconsin. Today, God has Cru on a number of campuses and Universities, brought in Athletes In Action, opened a Cru Inner City work, and launched a Cru High School ministry.
This great work of God will continue. With your prayers and finances, we will endeavor to trust the Lord for even more fruit. We tremendously appreciate the partnership we have with those who give and pray to make our work possible. I promise you, we will not miss-use those gifts you have entrusted to us. We are most humbly and sincerely grateful for your help.
