Tabo works in the area of Global Digital Strategies as Digital Strategist and Gnowbe Product Lead. He also leads Digital Strategies for Mexico. In 2011, the Lord began a journey for Tabo that has opened our eyes to the great need of harnessing the Internet to use for His glory in Latin America, the Caribbean and the world. People are spending so much of their time on social media and using the Internet, and we want to be where the people are. Tabo focuses on creating quality digital content and tools to reach the lost for Christ, train them up in their faith and be able to share their lives having been changed by Jesus Christ (Win, Build, Send).
In 2015, the Lord solidified a calling for Kelly in the area of Staff Care and Coaching and now works in Leadership Development and Human Resources (LDHR) within our area. She enjoyedhelping to coordinate training for new staff and potential new staff for the 3 years they lived in San Jose, Costa Rica. Being affirmed in specific God-given gifting and strengths, she has been compelled to further her skills and training in this area to be able to serve our staff and volunteers in Latin America and the Caribbean. She is passionate about contributing in this way and now serves as the Regional Leader for Leadership Development & Human Resources of Latin America & the Caribbean.
We continue to trust the Lord for ministry partners to come alongside of us prayerfully and financially, with faithful monthly gifts, so that we can carry on serving in Latin America & the Caribbean and the world.

Claudio "Tabo" and Kelly Valencia have been serving with Cru in the Campus Ministry since 2003.
When Tabo became involved with the organization in Argentina there was no one serving in his hometown (Comodoro Rivadavia) with Cru. By God's grace he had the great opportunity to be a part of starting a ministry with Cru there and in five other cities in southern Argentina.
Kelly first arrived in La Plata, Argentina in October of 2003 to work with college students on a short term international missions trip - or so she thought. Fourth months into her time there, she met Tabo at a Cru national conference in Cordoba, Argentina. In 2006, we were married and together started serving on full-time staff in Tabo's hometown.
In 2008, we were transferred to work in Buenos Aires at the National Office with Cru Argentina. During these few years we were able to complete Argentine staff training while working with college students in the capital city and assisting at headquarters. During our time in Buenos Aires, we also had the privilege to lead some missions projects to Central Asia and Haiti, as well as some wonderful in-country projects reaching out to poorer regions of Argentina. Then in 2010, we began serving as city directors in La Plata, a city with over 100,000 college students.
We have tried to remain open to His calling in our lives and ministry and in February of 2014 we moved to the U.S. to join U.S. Cru Staff and for training and experience that have been vital to our continued adventure with Cru. Ours two sons, Enzo and Max, and our daughter, Tessie, now join us in the continuous adventure of winning, building and sending for the Kingdom of God, wherever that may take us. In July of 2017, we moved to San Jose, Costa Rica in order to serve along with the Area Team for our region.
After serving for 3 years in Costa Rica, we felt the Lord calling us to find a place to settle for some crucial years as our children are growing and our oldest was to begin Middle School. In March of 2020, a few months prematurely due to the global pandemic, we re-settled in Orlando, Florida. In 2021, amid a global restructure of the organization, we each began exciting new roles as our kids have thrived in our current location.
We are so grateful for these experiences and those to come in serving the Lord with Cru in Latin America & the Caribbean.
