Empowering Women in Greece: Partner with Nektaria to Transform Lives in Greece

My name is Nektaria Karatsori, and I'm passionate about empowering women in Greece and beyond to discover their true value and worth through God's love. Based in my hometown of Thessaloniki, Greece, I've dedicated my life to serving others and sharing the life-changing power of God’s love.

From a young age, raised in a loving Orthodox family, I felt a deep connection to God. This personal encounter at the age of 11 ignited a desire to encourage others in Greece to experience this same life-changing relationship with the Lord.

I’ve been married to Dimitris since 1998 and together we have two wonderful daughters, Georgia (married to Vangelis) and Anna.

Since February 2010, I’ve had the privilege of serving with CRU/Agape Greece as the leader of the Women’s Ministry. This ministry focuses on helping women embrace their God-given value and dignity. Through this work, I aim to encourage women to experience God’s transformative love and live with purpose and hope.

How We Make a Difference:

  • The Magdalena Film: We use this powerful film to spark meaningful conversations and create safe spaces for women to explore faith and healing. By organizing events around the film, we foster connection and provide opportunities for spiritual growth.
  • Partnerships with the Orthodox Church: Recognizing the significant influence of the Orthodox Church in Greek culture, we actively collaborate with them to connect with women within their existing faith communities.
  • Bible study Groups: Using a variety of Bible study materials I lead intimate discussion groups where women explore God's love and acceptance. Through prayer, open dialogue, and deep engagement with scripture, we witness God transforming lives.

Leadership and Impact:
My commitment to serving women has led to expanded leadership roles within CRU/Agape. Since 2022, I've been a member of the Agape Greece Leadership Team, and since 2018, I've had the privilege of serving on the Leadership Team of the Agape Europe Women Initiatives Network. These roles allow me to contribute to strategic planning and broaden the impact of our work across Europe.

The women’s ministry is making a significant difference in the lives of women in Greece. We see women finding healing, discovering their true identity in Christ, building stronger, more fulfilling lives and positively impacting their environment. But we can't do it alone.
