What is a Donor-Advised Fund?

A Donor-Advised Fund is like a charitable checking account that serves as a hub for all your giving.  One can establish a fund with cash, stock or other appreciated assets. 3 Benefits of a Great Commission Donor Advised Fund (GCDAF)

Cru Foundation is a ministry back to you. We exist to help you invest in building the kingdom of God now, during retirement and beyond your lifetime. The Great Commission Donor Advised Fund (GCDAF) is one of the tools to help you do just that! Here are three benefits of the GCDAF:

  1. Shared Values — You can have confidence knowing your fund is managed by experienced professionals who share your Christian values and desire to be the best stewards possible. This is why Cru Foundation has NO administrative fee and provides low-cost investment options.

  2. No Obligation — Your fund helps you get money into ministry quickly and efficiently, but there is no minimum that must be distributed throughout the year. And there are no required minimum grants to Cru.

  3. Flexibility — You advise the amount and timing of distributions from your fund to Cru or other charitable organizations of your choice. If you use the GCDAF as an estate planning tool to distribute gifts to your charitable beneficiaries, your plans are much simpler to update than with a codicil. It’s also a powerful way to build or continue a tradition of family generosity.

You can establish a new Great Commission Donor Advised Fund today or switch your current Donor-Advised Fund from another DAF provider. Switching is as simple as initiating a “grant” to Cru Foundation for the full amount of funds in your current DAF (or a partial amount if you would like to keep both accounts).
