​Originally from Ohio, Dave and Jean met at Otterbein University, where they became active in the Cru / Campus Crusade for Christ movement. In 1971, they trained as Cru Military volunteers. Since 1974, the Stedmans have served fulltime in various Cru field and headquarters assignments.

​Current Roles on the​ Global Leadership Team

• In the Global Prayer Network, Jean is interceding for leaders of Cru, church, government, etc. The network is asking God for spiritual revival and prepared hearts as Cru and its partners offer the gospel to everyone.​
• In Global & Presidential Communications, Dave is researching, writing and editing a world of stories that reflect the Holy Spirit working through Jesus' followers, all sent to help build His church everywhere.
