We work with The JESUS Film Project, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, also known as Cru in the U.S. For many years, The JESUS Film Project has worked to translate a 2-hour film on the life of Christ into the major languages spoken around the world. As of May 2022, JESUS is available in more than 1970 languages and each one is available for instant viewing on-line at jesusfilm.org.
Seeing the success of the original film, we have also created versions for children and families. Another version, Magdalena: Through Her Eyes, establishes how God values women. A short film in the popular Japanese Anime style, titled "My Last Day", tells the crucifixion of Jesus through the eyes of one of the criminals crucified at the same time.
As an audio/video engineer, Jim gets to use his skills in a variety of ways. He has designed equipment for recording and playback and sound studios. Buying and maintaining equipment and designing the technical set up for conferences (to which he drives a big rig) are right in his wheel-house. Carol loves serving. At conferences she works in the MarketPlace, helping guests find the right materials for them and their personal ministry. At our headquarters she helps plan events that range from providing childcare for our Worldwide Days of Prayer to an annual Easter Egg Hunt, Picnic, & Outreach which gives our staff an opportunity to bring neighbor families to a fun event and hear the Gospel.
Looking to the future, we are trusting God to complete another ~865 languages, which will enable us to provide JESUS in the heart language of every language group of 50,000 speakers and larger. More than one-half of these languages have been recorded and are ready to view as of May, 2022.
We have served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 47 years (as of June, 2022), 35 of which have been with The JESUS Film Project.
