Marc and Patty Rutter

Marc and Patty have served Christ through the ministry of Cru for 45 years. Marc grew up in Tulare, California and graduated from UC Irvine and Patty grew up in Dunbar, WV and graduated from Marshall University. Right out of college they began serving the Lord on university campuses in Pennsylvania and Delaware including Temple University, University of Delaware and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The Lord then expanded their responsibilities over the years to giving leadership to the Campus Ministry in the U.S. and now in their current role of providing directional leadership and leadership development to all Cru ministries in the U.S and then as a Regional Director for North America and Oceania. Their ministry now influences college students, professional athletes, military personnel, executives and marketplace professionals. As the U.S. National Director of Leadership Development and HR, their desire is to serve Christ and our staff humbly and fully, build ministry leaders who will effectively reach their communities and campuses with the life-changing power of the Gospel, and send many out to change the world for Christ.
Marc and Patty have 4 children that have journeyed with them in this mission. Allison, 37, now lives and works in New York City, Jeffrey (he is married to Cheyenne and they have a 9 year old son Everett and a 6 year old son Cannon, serves on the staff of a church in Austin, TX) and Shannon (married to Naseem and they have a 19 month old daughter Noor and lives and works in Orlando), 34, are twins; and Catherine, 31, serves as a mental health counselor in Orlando. All four children would agree that their best experiences as a CCC staff kids were the weeks spent on mission projects and summer training venues while their parents gave leadership to our staff and college students to help them become devoted followers of Christ.
