I,  Leah Marasigan Darwin,  am a US staff member working under Cru City Neighbors in Philadelphia, PA. 

 As I celebrate my 49 years of serving on staff with Cru, my heart is full of gratitude for the ways God has allowed me to walk alongside others. Much of my ministry today is with women whose marriages have been deeply wounded by sexual betrayal. It is a sacred privilege to sit with them in their pain and to help them experience God’s presence, truth, and healing in the midst of brokenness.

I also love helping people gently revisit their own life stories—inviting them to notice how their past experiences have shaped the way they love God and relate to others today. As they begin to see their stories through God’s eyes, they are able to partner with Him in co-writing what comes next.

In 2005, the Lord opened the door for me to start the very first Community Bible Study International (CBSI) class in the Philippines. I could never have imagined what He would do with that small beginning. Today, there are more than 181 adult CBS classes across the country. After the pandemic shifted us online, the one class I currently lead  and teach has grown to 520 participants meeting on Zoom from Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. We now have 36 Zoom groups in this one class alone, and many of those who join us are reading the Bible for the very first time—an ongoing reminder of God’s grace and reach.

Beyond ministry, I am deeply grateful for my family. God has blessed me with three adult sons, each now married, and through two of them, three precious grandchildren who bring great joy to my life.
