Jim and Luiselinda Whelchel

Drs. Jim and Lui Whelchel serve with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) in Manila, Philippines. They are involved in equipping Christian leaders to help fulfill the Great Commission of Christ.
For many years Jim and Lui have invested in the development of national Christian leaders in Asia, first through Cru's Great Commission Training Centers, and more recently through the International Graduate School of Leadership. In addition to holding various leadership positions in the school, Jim helped develop Foundations for Christian Leadership, which has equipped more than 10,000 pastors and church leaders throughout Asia. Lui developed and was program director for IGSL's MA in Tranformational Teaching and Learning.
More recently, Jim and Lui have been part of Cru's Global Church Movements team. They helped develop a church multiplication process (called MC2) that is being used in over 70 countries to build movements of multiplying churches.
They are also part of the leadership of Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF), a 70,000-member church in Manila. Their discipleship chain includes over 1000 members. Jim serves as an elder and missions pastor. Jim and Lui have two children, Michael (b. 9-2-86) and Sharon (b. 1-14-89).
At present they are developing a partnership between Cru and CCF to build multiplying church movements in Asia. Networks they help coach and resource have seen thousands of churches and groups of multiplying disciples established around the world, in many cases among people and in areas where previously no churches existed.
