I made the life changing decision of trusting Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1972 as a freshman in college. I graduated from Michigan State University and joined the full time staff of Cru in 1977, where I discipled college students in their faith at the University of Northern Colorado and at San Diego State University. I met my husband Chuck (an avid Purdue Boilermaker) while working at San Diego State University and we were married in 1985. Together we labored at the University of South Dakota and Minnesota State University -- Mankato and St. Cloud where we raised our 5 precious kiddos.
In 2009 we joined the ranks of Athletes in Action (a ministry of Cru) in order to build spiritual movements through the platform of sports. We served together with Leadership Development and Human Resources at our World Training and Resource Center in Xenia, Ohio. On November 18, 2017 Chuck lost his two and a half year battle with brain cancer and met the Lord face to face. He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith. During Chuck's 36 years of ministry he impacted hundreds of college students for Christ while leaving an incredible Christian legacy to his family, pictured above.
I continue to live out my calling with Athletes in Action by providing coaching and training for our new staff and interns as we seek to win, build and send athletes for Christ around the world. What a privilege it is to serve the Lord through Athletes in Action. To learn more check out our website: http://www.athletesinaction.org/
