MIKE: Special Projects, Office of the President, Campus Crusade for Christ International/Cru. Mike provides personal assistance to Steve Douglass the president of Campus Crusade for Christ International, and Cru, as the ministry is known in the United States, and serves in local outreach to international students studying here in the United States and also to those in inner-city Orlando through Toolbox4Life-Construction.
Mike came to the ministry after graduating with a logistics degree from the business college at Western Michigan University. Over more than three decades of service, he has held a variety of positions, including bass guitarist/vocalist in evangelistic bands reaching high school and college students across the United States and internationally, operations director for Cru's training of new staff, served dozens of missions agencies by running international conference operations, and managed 250,000 square feet of office space for 1500 missions workers at Cru's international headquarters facilities in Orlando, Florida.
SHERYL: Coordinator, Cru Global High School Sending. Sheryl serves on the International Missions team with Cru's outreach to teenagers. The team's mission is to send high school and college students on short term missions trips and one to two year internships to launch spiritual movements internationally so that every high school student on every campus will have the chance to know and follow Jesus!
Sheryl came to the ministry after graduating from the University of Minnesota and working there as a clinical scientist for five years. Over more than three decades of service, she has held a variety of positions, including a primary role as Applicant Services Manager handling the application process for 300 new Cru missionaries from the United States per year.
Mike and Sheryl reside in Orlando, Florida. They have four children with three still in college.
