We’re Mike and Amy Waid, and we’ve had the privilege of serving with Cru for more than 35 years. Our ministry journey began on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where we worked with college students and saw firsthand how the gospel changes lives.
Since 1993, we’ve been part of The Jesus Film Project, helping people around the world encounter Jesus through film. The "JESUS" film—based on the gospel of Luke and filmed in Israel—has now been translated into more than 1,300 languages and shown in every country. Through this incredible tool, billions of people have heard the message of Jesus in their own heart language, and hundreds of thousands of churches have been planted as a result of film showings and follow-up ministry.
Even today, billions still have little or no access to the gospel. That reality continues to shape our calling. Mike serves with Cru’s Global Church Movements (GCM), which equips local believers to start and grow healthy, multiplying churches. Our shared vision is to see new faith communities established in every neighborhood, village, high-rise, and digital space—led by people who are making disciples, who in turn make disciples.
We live in Orlando, Florida, where we serve at Cru’s World Headquarters, and we’re grateful for the family God has given us—our four daughters: Rachel, Jessica, Monica, and Audrey.
Thank you for considering partnering with us. Your prayers and financial support help bring the story of Jesus to people who might otherwise never have the opportunity to hear it. We’re deeply grateful to have you on this journey with us.
