Judy Lewis

Judy Nelson Lewis has served with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1990. She began her ministry as a writer with the award-winning magazine, Worldwide Challenge. Later, as editor in chief, she oversaw all the processes of the magazine from editorial to advertising and circulation.
During her tenure with the magazine, Judy also helped produce a printed response to the 9/11 tragedy that reached 15 million people. Other projects included a book with FIFA women's player of the century Michelle Akers, Cru's 50th Anniversary book and legacy pieces for founder Bill Bright.
Judy has won writing awards from both the Florida Magazine Association and Evangelical Press Association. She has also been published in magazines like Focus on the Family, Virtue and the Christian Reader.
After 18 years with the magazine, Judy served Campus Crusade president's Steve Douglass as his Director of Communications, overseeing and producing internal and external communications. In 2013, she was "on loan" to Women Doing Well, an organization that helps spread the biblical view of generosity to women. She then rejoined Cru to help lead women inside and outside the ministry to use their passions more fully to help fulfill the Great Commission.
Today, Judy works in three areas:
- facilitating retreats and events as a speaker
- developing ministry leaders as a spiritual director
- raising funds and awareness for the Vila di Vorno Project in Italy (www.villadivorno.com).
Judy is from the great Commonwealth of Virginia, where she graduated from James Madison University. She married Bob Lewis in 2011 and moved to Atlanta. She has a certificate in Spiritual Direction and a Master's of Arts in Spiritual Direction and Formation, both from Richmont University. She is also a graduate of the Renovare Institute.
