Phil and Julie Gillespie

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati (Julie in 1989 and Phil in 1992), we were married in 1992 and moved to Michigan. Over the past 32 years the Lord has continued to call us to share the good news of the Gospel to college athletes and coaches at Kent State (Julie '90-'92), University of Michigan ('93-2000), currently serving the Lord through Athletes in Action at Michigan State University for 22 years.. 

The past several years God has opened up doors for us to begin an AIA ministry at Kalamazoo College. Our partnership with South Africa also continues to be a large arm of our ministry here at MSU. We have been privileged to partner with several campuses in South Africa over the past decade and find great joy in coming alongside their ministries and staff

We love our family and have loved serving with our children through many stages of their lives! Our family continues to grow as Nate married Nichole in May of 2019. They live and work in Grand Rapids. Rachel was recently engaged to Eli and they will be married this September. They are both live in Austin, TX. Jackson married Julia in May of 2020 and they were quickly blessed with Aria on June 11, 2021! They live in Holland, MI. Becky is currently in her junior year at Hope College in the school of Social Work.  They all are such a joy to us.
