When I was a young professional person, I got involved in Cru in downtown Houston and started a Bible study.  Forty-six people came to the first meeting and someone prayed to receive Christ within weeks. As I thought about joining Cru to minister in Houston's office towers, I read in the Bible about Paul's first European convert, Lydia, the dealer in purple.  One of the first things Paul did when he entered a new city was to go preach in the marketplace. That is what we do in our ministry today.

With 35% of young professionals coming from unchurched backgrounds, the United States today is not that different from ancient times. We are trusting God to reach one of the most strategic populations for Christ, the young business and professional community. We want Him to win professionals to Himself, build them up in their faith, and then send them back to their companies, families, and communities to win those for Christ.
