We serve at the World Headquarters of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) in Orlando, Florida. As of October 2025, we will have been on Staff for 31 years!

Tim serves as the Volunteer Services Coordinator on the Lake Hart Capacity Team, which serves many of our ministries at the Headquarters.  His main responsibility is receiving requests for volunteer help and completing them by the date requested.  As job requests arrive, they are put in a queue by importance and date desired.  Each day the jobs are prioritized and matched to various volunteers who have the skills to do them - this is the art and science of Tim's job!  When completed, he informs the person who contacted the Volunteer Services department originally to let them know that their job is complete.  Many jobs are completed in one to two days; others may stretch out for months. Tim's also still involved in developing Staff through personal, career, and team evaluation tools like The Birkman Assessment.  And he continues to enjoy being a Facilitator for the Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills Workshops.

Donna also serves in Volunteer Services.  She helps cast vision, develops and maintain relationships with Cru HQ ministries, letting them know how Volunteer Services can assist them.  She works on making improvements to streamline Volunteer Services processes for recruiting and retaining volunteers.  She performs administrative work, including Email communications for inquiries, utilizing  a volunteer database, and processing new volunteers.  

We both love caring for our dear volunteers as they serve with us to assist the various ministries at Cru Headquarters. 

Tim and Donna's secondary ministry is with Cru City, where we're involved with their team team called "Internationals, Immigrants and Refugees".  Our involvement in this started in 2022 when some Venezuelan neighbors moved in next door.  We began getting to know them and they asked if we would help them learn conversational English.  One thing led to another, and with the help of two Cru HQ Venezuelan Staff couples, we've been leading English classes in our home, working with 3 Spanish/English churches, and being part of a Spanish discipleship  home group.  We also have our new international friends over for dinner, we meet for coffee, and just befriend them in various ways as we help them on their spiritual journeys.  And yes, we're trying to learn a little Spanish along the way!
