We are passionate about living out and sharing the gospel of Jesus, raising up multiplying leaders who can impact their friends, family and communities, change culture and reach the world. We love building healthy teams in the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. We want to build transformational and missional communities who have a high view of Christ, exhibit humility before the Word of God, are Holy Spirit empowered, have a healthy view of themselves and the reality of sin, and have a heart for the world.
As students at the University of Washington in Seattle we were both involved with Cru and met in the midst of community and ministry. After graduating, Erik ('90) worked as an engineer at Boeing and Maureen ('91) freelanced as a graphic designer and as an assistant to the missions pastor at our home church.
In 1994 we first came on staff at the University of Washington, and then Seattle Metro, Directors at Oregon State University and served on the GNW Regional Team. From 2006 -2012 Erik was a pastor in the Seattle area. In 2012 we came back on staff and served with the campus ministry in Sydney, Australia (Power to Change), where Erik also served on the Australia National Team and coached leaders through the Oceania Emerging Leaders Initiative.
Returning to the States in 2017, Erik are now serves as the Executive Director of Leadership Development and Human Resources on the Executive Team for Athletes in Action, a Cru ministry seeking to reach every team, every sport, every nation with the good news of Jesus and to build movements of Christ through the platform of sport - from youth, college, international teams, pro sport and digital strategies. Maureen leads in the areas of training and development of new staff, team leaders, and as the AIA field coordinator of staff theological development.
With our three daughters, we often say we are on adventure together - in life and mission - and over and over again grateful for the grace and great love of Jesus.
