My mission is to: Turn Lost Students into Christ-Centered Laborers at the University of Illinois.
Turning Lost Students...
We seek to talk with students about how they can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The reality is that most of the students we meet today have never heard a clear explanation of how they can begin a relationship with Christ. We seek to talk to students across campus in various settings; often, that is done one on one, but it also happens in small group environments and large group events.
...Into Christ-Centered...
Much attention is given to helping the believers in our ministry grow in their intimacy with Christ and in the development of their character. Weekly small group Bible Studies, regular meetings with a more mature believer to provide personal discipleship, as well as weekly large group meetings and conferences, are all designed to help mature these young followers of Christ.
...Laborers.
We help students multiply their lives by training them in how to share Christ and disciple other students. With over 43,000 students at the U of I alone, the only way to reach every student is by equipping our students to reach, build, and equip others who will do the same (2 Timothy 2:2). When these students graduate, they are sent out, equipped to serve Christ for the rest of their lives. Many are being called to invest their lives in full-time ministry while others are going into the secular workforce to have an influence for Christ there.
