Dan and Jenny Higgins have served with CRU for over 25 years. The first 13 years on staff they served in East Asia where they were able to see their missionary dreams come true. They saw students come to faith and grow. Upon graduation, many made the incredible leap of faith to join staff and begin to reach their country with the Gospel. Many East Asians committed their lives to serve as missionaries in other even harder to reach countries. In the end the national leaders raised up took over leadership of the entire ministry.

When the Lord called them to return to the U.S., He also called them into the sending side of the missionary life. They returned home with five kids all born to them while serving in East Asia.Dan currently serves as the Executive Director of International Missions. Dan and Jenny can now steward all they have learned on the mission field in recruiting, training, sending and caring for new waves of missionaries. Every year they send thousands of students overseas to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. The vision is the same: to raise up leaders to lead the ministry and take the Gospel to even further horizons.

At the core of their motivation in missions beats the heart of the Gospel. They long for the missionaries that serve with CRU to thrive and work and minister out of an overflowing sense of gratitude and generosity that only comes from deeply experiencing the Gospel. With this heart, they are moved at the idea of millions of students who are looking for meaning and truth in life and often have no one to point them to Christ. 

They work everyday to see a person deeply experiencing the Gospel to share this good news with a student desperately seeking meaning.
