Dave & Kathy Cottrell have been on Cru staff since 1999. For his first 24 years of service, Dave developed curriculum to train pastors, church planters, and other ministry leaders around the world. He trained leaders on four continents and saw God produce spiritual movements leading to the salvation and discipleship of uncountable generations of Christ-followers. Kathy is an extremely effective discipler, training women in evangelism, follow-up, Bible study methods, and prayer. 

Kathy and Dave share a counseling ministry, teach various seminars (marriage, parenting, spiritual gifts, life purpose, etc.), love to practice hospitality, and have been ministering to college students and young adults for over thirty-five years, currently discipling over four dozen individuals and hosting a house church now in its 20th year.

In 2023, the Cottrells joined the FamilyLife ministry of Cru. They train leaders in the Phoenix area to equip families to have Christ-centered homes following biblical principles to reap the blessings of God's design for relationships.

The Cottrells have two sons married to two incredible women (Kathy's disciples), all active in ministry, and are blessed with six delightful grandchildren.
