Ben is a graduate of Marshall University, and Jill is a Western Kentucky University grad.  Ben has been on staff with Cru since 2000, and Jill joined in the summer of 2004.  After spending several years serving at WKU, Ben and Jill took a year to serve in the central European country of Slovakia.  In the Fall of 2007 they returned to WKU to serve on the staff team here.   

In the Spring of 2016, Ben and Jill transitioned from leading on campus at WKU to leading at Cru's Raleigh Office when Ben accepted a position in International Sending. He now serves as the Area Sending Director for Europe with Cru's campus ministry.

In this role, Ben leads a team of International Sending Coordinators who support and shepherd international missionaries who serve with Cru in Europe. They provide both administrative support and member care through regular check-ins, trainings, and debriefs. As a Sending Director, Ben also works with other sending leaders to develop and maintain strategic alignment in Cru’s sending processes that mobilize new missionaries around the world.

Ben completed an M.Div. in Christian Ministry in 2014 and a D.Ed.Min in Biblical Spirituality in 2023, both from Southern Seminary in Louisville.  

Ben and Jill have been married since December 2004. They have two sons and a daughter: Reece, Wyatt, and Claire.
