The Powells love to see people make an impact in the Great Commission in ways unique to their design.  

Shana's ministry started in her fourth year of college when friends involved in Cru helped introduce her to Christ. If you talk with her about how God grabbed her life, you will hear about a wild ride and a boat trip around the world. After graduating, Shana joined staff with Cru and worked with campus ministry in Montana.

After Shana and Tyler married, they both served in their local church leading work in Missional Mobilization. When Shana returned to work with Cru Campus, Tyler volunteered with Valor - Cru’s ministry to cadets, midshipmen and veterans. He served those returning from active duty to the campus and future leaders in the ROTC. 

Currently, Tyler works as a Senior Finance Leader within Cru and Shana works on the executive team for Cru Campus. This team gives direction to all campus ministries in the U.S. and our student ministry partnerships internationally. There are 20.3 million college students in the US. and our international partnerships are in more countries than McDonalds! Cru Campus has 250 teams in the U.S., and Shana leads the 60 regional directors who coach these teams. We have divisions in the campus ministry who work with colleges, high schools, international students, faculty, and grad students.

Together, we want to reach students & faculty with the gospel, build them in their faith, and send them to reach the world.
