Married for 38 years, Scott and Ellie have sensed the Lord's leading to help people experience God's best for their marriages and families. In 2001, they followed God's call to serve on the staff of FamilyLife, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International, and reported to their permanent assignments at FamilyLife headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2004. 


Scott served for years writing online articles to encourage couples and parents. In the past four years, due to brain cancer, he has shifted his focus from writing for the ministry to his health and encouraging others struggling with glioblastoma, as well as mentoring younger couples.

Ellie is part of FamilyLife’s Audio team, transcribing many of the ministry’s numerous broadcasts.

God has blessed them with seven adult children and their spouses (Brian and Carol; Amy and Jared; Chris, Jeff, Joy and Jon; Benjamin and Becky) and five grandchildren (Harper, Otto, Obi, Gigi and Aliyah).



OUR NEED. We are essentially faith missionaries to the family. Like other Cru staff, we are responsible for raising and maintainting all our own funds for salary, taxes, insurance, and ministry expenses. Your monthly gifts go toward meeting our family's needs so that we can devote our full time and attention to sharing the life-changing power of Christ with couples and families everywhere.
