Rich and Barb Leary returned to the US in June of 2021 after living in Eastern Europe since 2006. They now serve on the Cru City Global Partnerships Europe Team, continuing to resource the Cru ministries in Europe.

Rich and Barb Leary came to Cru in 2005, after serving with The Navigators for 20 years. In the early '90s, the Lord used the CoMission Project to move the Leary family to Kyiv, Ukraine. Although they returned to the U.S. from Kyiv in 2000, their heart for the people of Ukraine continued.

In February of 2005, Brian Birdsall, the Cru Country Director for Ukraine, invited the Learys to return to Ukraine to lead the CrossRoads ministry. In August 2006, they returned to Kyiv.

While in Kyiv, Rich led the Crossroads ministry and served as Fund Development Director for Ukraine for Christ. Barb served as the School Counselor for Kyiv Christian Academy; the K-12 school for missionary children in Kyiv. In 2012, Rich began leading CEE LeaderImpact, and in 2013, Rich and Barb moved to Budapest to serve on the Cru Area Leadership Team.

Rich and Barb now live in Midlothian, VA, and are enjoying living close to their 12 grandchildren who all live in Virginia.
